Chapter Officers

Avery Whitehead

President

Avery Whitehead is a senior from Baltimore, Maryland, double-majoring in Political Science and Public Relations. Serving her second term on Chapter Council as this year's President, Avery acts as the main authority figure in the chapter by delegating to the rest of the Chapter Council, while still remaining present in each committee. She also runs Chapter Council meetings on a weekly basis to keep the chapter constantly involved and updated on our obligations and activities. Lastly, Avery acts as the primary liaison between Kappa's National Headquarters and our chapter. A fun fact about Avery is you might get to have her as your UGA tour guide if you come on an official college visit!

VP Standards

Vice President of Standards

The Vice President of Standards is responsible for the maintenance of Fraternity standards and policies including educating the chapter about the role of the Standards Committee as well as addressing violations of Fraternity Bylaws, Standing Rules and Policies for the best interest of the individual and the chapter. She strives to serve as a role model for the Delta Upsilon chapter by representing the values of the chapter and the Fraternity to the campus and community.

Anna Plunkett

Vice President Organization

Anna Plunkett is a senior from Augusta, Georgia, majoring in Digital Marketing. She is serving her second term on Chapter Council and works on creating the Master Calendar, conducting and tabulating the Chapter Survey, establishing chapter committees, and coordinating arrangements for all Fraternity visitors. A fun fact about Anna is that when she's not working as the VPO of Kappa, you can most likely find her at Zaxby's!

Clare Daly

Assistant to the Vice President of Organization

Clare Daly is a sophomore from Atlanta, Georgia, majoring in Finance. A fun fact about Clare is that she's visited more countries than states!

Madelyn Grainger

Vice President of Academic Excellence

Madelyn Grainger is a junior from Atlanta, Georgia, co-majoring in Finance and International Business. Madelyn is serving her first year on Chapter Council as the Vice President-Academic Excellence. She works to enhance scholastic awareness and educate the members on the Fraternity’s scholastic expectations and requirements. A fun fact about Madelyn is that her eyes change colors!

Cameron Payne

Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Excellence

Cameron Payne is a sophomore from Dallas, Texas, majoring in Health Promotion. A fun fact about Cameron is that she loves cats!

Emma Goodloe

Risk Management Chairman

Emma Goodloe is a senior from Mobile, Alabama, majoring in Public Relations. Her role is to educate chapter members about Fraternity, university, IFC, and Panhellenic risk management policies and procedures. Emma also completes Event Planning Forms (EPF) when one is required and reviews all completed EPFs, ensuring they are complete and accurate with the required signatures. A fun fact about Emma is that she can lick her elbow!

Morgan Spitzer

Assistant Risk Management Chairman

Morgan Spitzer is a junior Real Estate major from Houston, Texas. A fun fact about Morgan is that she is UGA's Campus Director for Bumble, a dating app started by a KKG alumna!

Laren Durkee

Marshal

Laren Durkee is a junior from Macon, Georgia, majoring in Biology. As Marshal, Laren's role is to teach and maintain ritual practices, plan the Initiation ceremony and additional activities, plan preferential day during recruitment and lead Ritual Reviews. She also helps plan the Inspiration-week events leading up to Initiation. A fun fact about Laren is that she wants to marry Bruno Mars!

Claire Cotton

Assistant Marsal

Claire Cotton is a sophomore from Atlanta, Georgia, majoring in Biology. A fun fact about Claire is that one time, a flamingo bit her!

Billie Boswell

Recording Secretary

Billie Boswell is a junior from Augusta, Georgia, majoring in Accounting. Her role as Recording Secretary is to record chapter minutes, coordinate revision of chapter Bylaws and Standing Rules, and represent what the chapter and the Fraternity stand for to others on campus and in the community. A fun fact about Billie is that she often plays piano during our chapter meetings!

Channing Fatjo

Registrar

Channing Fatjo is a junior Real Estate major from Houston, Texas. Her role is to maintain records of chapter membership through KeyReports as she documents chapter successes and milestones. She also serves as the Historian by maintaining and updating chapter history on Kappapedia. A fun fact about Channing is that she loves horses!

Tillie Allen

Treasurer

Tillie Allen is a junior from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, majoring in Finance. Tillie is serving her second year on Chapter Council as this years Treasurer. Her role consists of billing chapter dues and any Fraternity/House Board Fees to chapter members. Tillie disburses appropriate fees to Fraternity Headquarters and to House Board. Lastly, Tillie prepares yearly budget reports, and educates members about financial responsibilities. A fun fact about Tillie is that she is the only Kappa that is also a member of UGA's Corsair Society!

Megan Trachtenberg

Assistant Treasurer

Megan Trachtenberg is a junior from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and is majoring in Accounting. Her role is to assist the Treasurer with roles and responsibilities (please refer to mentioned officer). A fun fact about Megan is that she is in love with Russell Westbrook!

Mary Helen Tarbutton

Recruitment Chairman

Mary Helen Tarbutton is a senior from Sandersville, Georgia, co-majoring in Finance and International Business. Serving her second term on Chapter Council, her role is to serve as Chairman of the Membership Committee, which plans and coordinates all activities related to Membership Recruitment throughout the year as well as liaison between the chapter and alumna advisers. A fun fact about Mary Helen is that she spent an entire semester at sea!

Ian Brusenhan

Assistant Recruitment Chairman

Ian Brusenhan is a junior from San Antonio, Texas, majoring in International Affairs. A fun fact about Ian is that her grandmother, mom, and sister are all Kappas and she can speak Pig Latin!

Hanna Jon Lewis

Public Relations Chairman

Hanna Jon Lewis is a junior from Rome, Georgia, majoring in Marketing. Serving her first term on Chapter Council, she works to keep our chapter's image in the best light in every aspect. Hanna Jon updates and maintains all of Kappa's social media, plans and executes fall and spring Parents Weekends, as well as Alumnae Weekend, and keeps in touch with parents, alumnae, and public organizations that are related to Kappa. A fun fact about Hanna Jon is that she used to perform in the circus!

Katie Carr

Assistant Public Relations Chairman

Katie Carr is a junior from Richmond, Virginia, majoring in Public Relations. Her role is to assist the Public Relations Chair with various tasks, as well as order, sell, and distribute Kappa game day stickers, send out monthly newsletters to Kappa Parents Club, and paint banners. A fun fact about Katie is that she has a twin brother!

Lele Popwell

New Member Chairman

Lele Popwell is a junior from Memphis, Tennessee, majoring in Accounting. Her role as to serve as Co-New Member Chairman is to organize and guide the New Member Program, which involves full member participation. She serves as a role model to the rest of the chapter and also serves as a member of the Standards Committee throughout entire term of office. A fun fact about Lele is she went to Thailand for a month with only the clothes she wore on the plane and the five items in her backpack!

Sydney Lanyon

New Member Chairman

Sydney Lanyon is a junior from Memphis, Tennessee, double-majoring in Cognitive Science and Philosophy. Her role as to serve as Co-New Member Chairman is to organize and guide the New Member Program, which involves full member participation. She serves as a role model to the rest of the chapter and also serves as a member of the Standards Committee throughout entire term of office. A fun fact about Sydney is that her nickname is Squid!

Natalie Foster

Philanthropy Chairman

Natalie Foster is a junior from Nashville, Tennessee, majoring in Finance. Natalie is serving for her first year on Chapter Council as this year's Philanthropy Chair. She works to supervise and plan chapter philanthropy events, educate the chapter on Kappa Cares, the Fraternity’s philanthropy strategy, and assist in planning the Philanthropy Round during Membership Recruitment. A fun fact about Natalie is that she has a twin brother!

Elizabeth Ferguson

Assistant Philanthropy Chairman

Elizabeth is a junior from Darien, Connecticut and is co-majoring in Finance and International Business. Her role is to assist the Philanthropy Chairman with roles and responsibilities (please refer to mentioned officer). A fun fact about Elizabeth is that she is a certified lifeguard!

Grayson Rooker

Event Chairman

Grayson Rooker is a junior from Atlanta, Georgia, majoring in Interior Design. As Event Chairman, Grayson plans and coordinates chapter events and activities. She educates the chapter on social graciousness and defines acceptable behavior from conduct at social events to personal etiquette. Following the Fraternity Policies regarding events, Grayson ensures that every member completes their Membership Commitment Statement and collaborates with the Risk Management Chairman in planning and executing chapter events.

SaraGrace Petersen

Sara Grace Petersen is a sophomore from Austin, Texas, majoring in Marketing. Her role is to assist the Event Chairman with roles and responsibilities (please refer to mentioned officer).

Carolina Pinckney

House Chairman

Carolina Pinckney is a junior from Savannah, Georgia, double-majoring in English and Finance. As House Chairman, Carolina oversees facility use and security, formulates house rules with her committee, and instructs members on all regulations. She also educates members on proper use and care of our facilities. She serves as liaison to the House Director and as ex-officio member of the House Board. A fun fact about Carolina is that she used to think ham came from cows!

Ellie Mizell

Assistant House Chairman

Ellie Mizell is a sophomore from Austin, Texas. Her job is to assist the House Chairman with any responsibilities pertaining to the upkeep and organization of the Kappa House.

Maria Colon

Education Chairman

Maria is a senior Biology major from Douglasville, Georgia. Serving her second year on Chapter Council, her role is to develop a comprehensive, year-long educational program designed to educate chapter members about leadership, personal development, women’s issues and cultural programming, using Pathways, the Kappa Learning Institute, as well as other Fraternity, campus, and internet resources. Maria enhances membership by providing all members with an understanding of the Fraternity’s structure, its purposes and ideals, and overall education to enhance personal growth and development. A fun fact about Maria is that she is bilingual!

Whitney Wallace

Assistant Education Chairman

Whitney Wallace is a junior from Washington, D.C., double-majoring in Psychology and Communications. A fun fact about Whitney is that she has a twin sister!

Katie Ryan

Panhellenic Delegate

Katie Ryan is junior from Richmond, Virginia, majoring in Marketing. As a Panhellenic Delegate, Katie helps create a community and relationships with all the sororities. She attends weekly Panhellenic meetings and serves as a liaison between the chapter and Panhellenic community. She also helps keep the chapter updated on Panhellenic and other sorority events. A fun fact about Katie is that she grew up in Charleston, South Carolina!

Brenna Willen

Panhellenic Delegate

Brenna Willen is sophomore from Charlotte, North Carolina, double-majoring in Marketing and Fashion Merchandising. As a Panhellenic Delegate, Brenna helps create a community and relationships with all the sororities. She attends weekly Panhellenic meetings and serves as a liaison between the chapter and Panhellenic community. She also helps keep the chapter updated on Panhellenic and other sorority events. A fun fact about Brenna is that she didn't lose all of her baby teeth until age eighteen!

Ashton Moore

Corresponding Secretary

Ashton Moore is a junior from Lynchburg, Virginia, majoring in Fashion Merchandising. While serving as Corresponding Secretary, her role is to keep Fraternity files, order new member pins, and answer or send correspondence as necessary. Ashton serves as a role model to the rest of the chapter by showing our gratitude to donors and other external parties. A fun fact about Ashton is that she loves to scuba dive!

Kat Smith

Activities Chairman

Kat Smith is a sophomore from Houston, Texas, majoring in Statistics. Kat works to register Kappa teams in intramural sports, including indoor and outdoor soccer, volleyball, and dodgeball. She is responsible for collecting the membership fee from parents during Parents Weekends for Kappa Parents Club. Kat also communicates with the Parents Club Board to allocate funds to the necessary areas within Delta Upsilon. A fun fact about Kat is her first ever Instagram post is a picture of her and Gibby from iCarly!

Avery Layton

T-Shirt Chairman

Avery Layton is a junior from Macon, Georgia, majoring in Advertising. She is in charge of designing apparel for various Kappa events. Avery is responsible general Kappa gear, sweatshirts, rain jackets, etc, as well as passing out apparel on Monday evenings before or after chapter. A fun fact about Avery is that she and her mom have matching tattoos!

Margot Mays
